Wiring up an iS7 analog output to a ROC800
This document shows how to properly wire up a 4-20mA output from an iS7 to an Emerson ROC800 PLC with an AI-16 card.
The iS7 sources its own power for the AO1 and AO2 signals. Do NOT connect +T to the analog circuit on the iS7. This will results in a signal being always stuck at the maximum 20mA.
iS7 Connection
A02 is the 4-20mA output on the iS7 VFD. Depending on capacity, the common will be either CM or 5G. see below diagrams.
Wiring for 22kW and less iS7s
Wiring for 30kW and up iS7s
ROC800 Connection
Use any channel which is available.
Example: 1+ goes to A02
COM goes to 5G or CM
