MCCB/ACB – OCR Tester
Part # 72313460410 (TOTAL ASS'Y,IPOT,OCR TESTER)

The i-Tester (Intelligent Tester) or OCR Tester is an accessory for testing the trip units on Smart MCCBs, UTS800/UTS1200 MCCBs, and ACBs* without main power. This performs relay tests such as manual/auto/user tests and other various functions such as self-calibration, device information, relay settings, and device status checking.

Upon opening the packaging for the IPOT tester, customers will encounter several types of wires. The different wires serve specific purposes so please read the following.

Wire 1: White USB-A to Mini-B Cable

This cable is used to establish a direct connection between a laptop and the trip unit.
It allows the user to power on and access the trip unit without needing to energize the breaker it is installed on. While the cable is connected, the trip unit remains powered, enabling users to view and modify settings as needed. This cable is commonly used for reading and writing data, performing software updates, or conducting data polling.

Wire 2: Black Signal Cable

This cable is used to connect the IPOT Tester to the STU, such as those used in ACBs.

Wire 3: Gray Flat Signal Cable

This cable is used to connect the IPOT Tester to older-type OCRs, such as those used in the UTS800 and UTS1200 breakers.
As shown in the second photo, the signal cable is designed with a purposefully missing pin, which is specific to the connector configuration of these older OCR models. This ensures proper compatibility and prevents incorrect connections during testing.
