Setting a password on the G100 and S100 VFDs
The G100 and S100 can be locked out via password protection. Setting up a password will prevent unauthorized parameter changes.
Setting the Password
1. Navigate to Dr.94
2. Press ENT key two times
3. Set desired password with arrow keys
4. Press ENT key two times. The display will return to Dr.94.
Locking the drive
1. Navigate to Dr.95
2. Press ENT key, UL will be displayed. This means the drive is unlocked.
3. Press ENT again to display 0000.
4. Use the arrow keys to enter in the same password you previously set in Dr.94.
5. Press ENT, L will be displayed. This means the drive is locked.
Unlocking the drive
1. Navigate to Dr.95
2. Press ENT, L will be displayed. This means the drive is locked.
3. Press ENT again to display 0000.
4. Use the arrow keys to enter in the same password you previously set in Dr.94.
5. Press ENT key, UL will be displayed. This means the drive is unlocked.
Changing the Password
1. Navigate to Dr.94
2. Press ENT, 0000 will be displayed
3. Use the arrow keys to enter in the current password.
4. Press ENT, the value should remain on the display
5. Use the arrow keys to enter in the new password.
6. Press ENT key two times. The display will return to Dr.94
