My VFD running PID is stuck at 60Hz

This condition can have multiple causes. If the VFD seems to be stuck at 60Hz, start by going through the below items to check.
  1. What is the digital input status? Use monitor IN90 Make sure the VFD is not in a "PID Open loop mode". This takes the VFD out of PID and looks at your main reference source.
  2. Is the VFD seeing the PID feedback? Check that the feedback source programming is correct. Also, check the analog input monitor, in the "IN" group to confirm the signal is there.
  3. Is the feedback scaling and set-point (reference) correct? Check that the set-point is where you want it. Additinally, make sure the PID feedback scale matches the installed transducer.
  4. Confirm that the VFD is in "Normal PID" mode. Check parameter Ap/APP28.
