This knowledge base article briefly explains how to correctly enter Ethernet IP address into the iS7 drive parameters. Please refer to the following two documents provided; LS Electric iS7 Ethernet Option Card PLC Setup USER GUIDE and also our Decimal  to Hexidecimal Conversion spreadsheet that are attached below.  

User should download and then review both files provided in this article.   The iS7 Drive Communication Group IP address drive parameters are set in Hexidecimal for each individual IP address octet of the IP address assigned by the user.   

For example, CM-10 and CM-11, CM-12 and CM-13 unique address must be entered individually in Hexidecimal after being converted utilizing our simple "DEC to HEX.xlsx" file provided.  Furthermore, this paramter entry conversion to Hexidecimal for entry in iS7 communication parameter subsiquently should be performed for all of the serial IP addressing, includiing the IP address Subnet and the Gateway (if required).  

If utilizing A-B Control Logics PLC Generic version interface, suggest changing drive communication Communication Rate CM-16 from a factory default of a "0" (AUTO NEG) to a "1" (100 Mbps).
