LIS enclosed Switches Door Hinge and Handle Replacement Guide

There are four door hinges installed on one switch. If the door does not fit the frame properly or does not close correctly, it usually means that at least two or more hinges are bent or damaged. In this case, I recommend replacing all hinges to ensure proper door operation.

Door Hinge Replacement
1. Remove the quick-release pin
First, remove the M4 E-clip using long-nose pliers.
Then pull out the quick-release pin.

2. Remove the hinge hardware
Unscrew the M5 hex nut using an 8 mm socket wrench.
Hardware order: M5 hex nut – M5 spring washer – M5 plain washer

3. Replace the hinge and reassemble the M5 hex nut and washers.
Note: Do not work alone. At least one assistant is required. One person should hold the door to align the new door hinge and the door properly.

4. Reinstall the quick-release pin
Insert the pin back into position.

5. Secure the E-clip
Install the E-clip onto the bottom groove of the pin.
