VFDs at High Altitude
LS VFDs installed at an altitude of 1000m above sea level or less do not require a derate. VFDs installed at an altitude between 1000 to 4000m require a derate of 3% for every 300m over 1000m.

Example:
A VFD is installed and an altitude of 2000m above sea level.
Formula: ((Altitude - 1000)/300) * .03 = Derate Percentage
((2000m - 1000)/300) *.03 = .10 or a 10% Derate
