How do I scale analog inputs?

Analog input and outputs can be scaled to meet an applications needs. This allows the VFD to run at the correct speed based on a voltage or current signal input. Similarly, the analog outputs may be scaled to properly display on a meter.

Below is an example and references for scaling the I2 current input on an S100 VFD. Please refer to the specific VFD series manual for other VFDs.
Example:
An application requires 5.5mA to equate to 30HZ and 20mA equate to 60Hz.

Associated parameters

Required Settings:
  1. IN53=5.5mA
  2. IN54=50%
  3. IN55=20mA
  4. IN56=100%

Voltage can be changed as well within the same parameter. This can be changed using In. 12 and In.15.
