How does the S100 connect to DriveView?

The S100 has a few options for connecting to DriveView 9 software.

Option 1: The most direct and easiest way is to use the below USB to Serial Cable. The RJ-45 connector plugs into the S100 keypad port.

When connecting over DriveView, this utilizes  19200 BPS

Take note that the cable is "USB to RS232". The M100/G100 cable is very similar but is not compatible.


Option 2: A 3rd party RS485 USB converter may be used. The below example would require wiring the + and - terminals on the adapter to S+ and S- terminals on the VFD. 




Option 3: LS offers the below cable. You will need to purchase a 3rd party DB9 to USB adapter as most PC's do not have a DB9 port.
