How can I setup an enable/disable or Emergency Stop on my VFD?

There are a few different ways to stop a drive remotely. This can be accomplished with the safety terminals(SA, SB, SC) if using an S100. Alternatively,
an external trip or drive enable can be used on all LS VFDs.. Here we will show how to set up a safe operation enable. This can be used for normally closed (NC) E-Stops, freeze stats, and other safety devices. The benefit of this setup is that you can set a special deceleration time in Ad72 when the enable is opened. We also have flexibility in how the drive starts back up after the enable is reset. This is selectable in  Ad71.

For a typical Drive RUN ENABLE, one must set any free Digital Input(s) to Drive Enable ( see below for model specific information).   And user must also check AD/ADV.70 set to a "1" (DI dependent).

See below parameter reference. You must set the enable to be DI dependent and program an digital input to RUN Enable.

For LSE H100 Drive:

Below are the 3 different options for Ad71. Q-Stop Resume is a common setting if the application requires the drive to continue running after the enable is reset.

Note: You may also use this function with a Normally Open (NO) contact. Use parameter  In87  to invert the digital input being used from NC to NO.
