H100+ drives have a built-in, lead-lag function which allows for redundant motor control using multiple drives with multiple pumps. Also known as "master-follower" or "lead-lag loadshare", this works without the use of an externally controller such as a PLC. Instead, drives are connected with one another via RS-485 communications and communicate to stage on/off, alternate, and perform other functions as necessary. Also with this configuration, if a failure occurs on one other drives including the master, the next drive will take over to maintain the system setpoint.
Refer to the attached application note for setup and programming.
