DriveView 9 Connection Settings

The first step is making a new DriveView 9 project.
Click the "Settings" gear icon to open the connection settings.

Click the "Type" drop down. Select LS485.

Next, click the "Setting.." button to bring up the below settings. Confirm the settings match below with exception to the COM #. We will check that next. Click the "Auto scanning port" button.

Click the "Scan" button and a valid COM port should pop up with an "OK" next to it. If you see "NG", refer to the next section for troubleshooting.

Close out the connection setting boxes and click the "Connect" button near the top of DriveView 9

A successful connection will have a green "Online" bar on the bottom, like below.

Troubleshooting
Use the below checks for issues with connections. When performing a scan you may get "NG" for a not good connection.

Open Device Manager on your computer. Locate the "USB Serial Device", this should be the H100 connection. Right-click and open the properties.  Ensure that the bits per second is 19200.  The other settings should also match the DriveView 9 settings. Re-scan the connection in DriveView  9 to confirm it is now "OK".

Sometimes even an "OK" connection will get a model read error like below. This can be fixed easily by cycling power to the VFD or checking the USB cable connection.
