By default, a user is able to access the HMI panel settings by touching and holding their finger on an unused part of the touch screen.  After holding for a few seconds, an icon will popup that allows you to exit the runtime screen and access the panel settings. See below image.

In some cases the panel may be setup to not allow access to these settings. This can be accomplished by checking the "Do not show menu bar" check box.

To bypass this lockout, you can add a Special Switch setup for "Runtime Exit" into the HMI program (see below).  After adding this and writing to the HMI, simply press the button to access the panel settings. Uncheck the "Do not show menu bar" in the settings.
