Can I use a 3 pole MCCB on a single phase system?

Yes.  LS UL489 Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB’s) are suitable for use in single phase systems.  LS Susol UTE/UTS 3 pole MCCBs may be applied to single phase systems provided that the MCCB is sized appropriately per the given load.  Furthermore, the MCCB must be wired identical to one of the below diagrams (Figure 1) in order to balance the load.
