Are LS Softstarters 2 phase or 3 phase control?

The SSCe, SSCi, and SSMe soft starters control only 2 phases, but included Equi-Vec™ balanced vector control technology.  The SSMi series are 3 phase control.

Equi-Vec™ balances the output waveform making it symmetrical.
This eliminates the previous limitations of two phase controllers such as:
  1. Limited starts per hour
  2. Limited to light loads only
  3. Limited to motors <55kW
