4-20mA Analog Output Setup
Often at times, it is desired to monitor a certain function of a drive via a 4-20mA signal using the analog output. Most LS Electric drives default to 0-10VDC output signal type and therefore need to be configured for 4-20mA output.
Example: Monitoring the output frequency where 4mA = 0.0Hz and 20mA = 60.0hz.
H100+, H100, and SP100 Drives
- Set DIP switch SW5 to “IO” for current output. This will set both AO1 and AO2 for current output.
- When using AO1, set parameters OUT-02 = 80.0% (gain) and OUT-03 = 20% (bias).
- When using AO2, set parameters OUT-08 = 80.0% (gain) and OUT-09 = 20% (bias).
S100 and S100 NEMA 4X Drives
- Set DIP switch SW3 to “IO” for current output. This will set both AO1 and AO2 for current output.
- When using AO1, set parameters OU-02 = 80.0% (gain) and OU-03 = 20% (bias).
- When using AO2, set parameters OU-08 = 80.0% (gain) and OU-09 = 20% (bias).
iS7 Drives
- Only AO2 is available with a 4-20mA output type which is set by default.
- Parameters OUT-08 = 80.0% (gain) and OUT-09 - 20.0% (bias) are set by default.
Note: An additional 4-20mA output is available (AO4) with an optional Extension I/O card.
